Iwrote this post last year for my other blog and I just want to share it with you guys XD
I always tell myself that if I have money to spare, I’d probably spend most of it on gadgets. Yes, not clothes, or shoes, or even bags. I have plenty of them already since everyone has been so kind to share with me their blessings regularly xD
My first ever mobile phone. I got it as a gift for my birthday when I was in Grade 5, so that was almost nine years ago. The Globe sim card I am using now is still the same :) I’ve had it since forever, I don’t think I will ever replace it XD
Nokia 3530
First colored Nokia phone (I think?) and I was one of the first to get it. Haha. It was around 2004 when Tita Cora gave it to me because she doesn’t like fancy phones. :)) I used it again this summer 2010 as my Sun phone so it’s really important to me, and its calendar waaaayyy back 2004 has lots of memories. After years, it has always been this reliable.
Sony Ericsson K700i
My first Ericsson phone. I probably used this for the longest time. Again, this isn’t mine but Tito Lean’s, he gave me this summer before my fourth year in high school after just a month of using it. It was one of my most favorite gadgets XD Too bad it can only store about 90 messages and the scroll breaks easily.
Nokia 6310i
This wasn’t mine but Tito Lean’s (AGAIN). I eventually used it anyway. I used it as a spare phone for my Smart number because, well, Nicole is using a smart sim card and I can’t afford to text him using my Globe one. LOL.
Sony Ericsson Z610i
The first phone I bought using my own money. I didn’t pay for it fully for I am broke, and it was only a second-hand purchase. But still, I love it to bits! ♥ This has been with me since December 2008, in good times and bad. Though blue in color (and finding a pink replacement is really hard! T_T), I still love it. I use it as a remote control for my laptop (!!!! i love SE pc suite :D), as a camera whenever I forget my digi cam, serves as my reminder for random thoughts, saves almost all important and mushy messages, etc. Her name’s Milky, by the way. Short for Milkfish c/o Paul XD I hope I will be able to find a new casing soon ‘coz Milky looks tattered already :(

Nokia 6600
This has been Papa’s phone for a long time as well, and I declared it as mine now as my Sun spare phone :3 Haha. I want a new phone but I still can’t afford to buy a new one so good thing I found this in a box– alone and unwanted. Haha! I want a phone that can store a lot of messages, and this one’s perfect, plus it can be divided into folders which SE can’t. I don’t think it has a program that can sync with my laptop, though. Plus the battery dies easily :( But for now, this is all I have so I better maximize its usage. Haha. I bought a new housing for it so it’s now pretty :3
LG GT350i
I fell in love with this phone the first time I saw it because I really REALLY want a QWERTY AND a touch-screen phone at the same and this is just perfect. I love the feel of its keypad though it looks a little bit childish. I bought this last February 2011 but now that too there are too many phones in the market which are really pretty and affordable, I kind of feel sad that I didn’t wait for a little bit longer :( This phone is too slow for me and it only saves about 500 messages. Bleh. I use this as my Globe phone now, the SE z610i for my Sun.
External Hard Drives
RiData 500Gb EHD (I had the black one but it’s much more sparkly!!)I bought this using my own money because I was so desperate to have because Penny is going to crash already haha. Unfortunately, I kind of broke it T_T And I was stupid enough to not use its warranty so yayyy bye EHD. I had my PvZ game saved there! Plus a hundred movies and shows :( Thinking about it makes me sad.
Western Digital 500Gb External Hard Drive
My Dad gave this to me as a gift (well I sorta kinda forced him to buy me one because I BADLY need it haha) and so far I’m not having problems. I’m taking care of it quite a lot now. LOL,
For Digital Cameras, I only had / have two:
Pentax Optio E10
First Digital Camera I owned through pity. LOL. Tita Len gave it to me because I’m being a bitch to my parents because I always say that I’ve always wanted a camera but they wouldn’t get me one :| I’m such a baby. This was originally hers (don’t you see the pattern? They always give me second-hand gadgets all the time. Not complaining.) She gave me this as a graduation gift in High School. It has been with me for almost three years when it suddenly gave up because of some unknown reason. I guess it’s the battery failure. Mine’s named Twinkle. :)
Polaroid t1235 touch screen
Another one of my purchases, my beloved purple digital camera, Polky! :D My mother and I bought it last December 2009, and I really really love it. I am such a camwhore (but I love taking pictures of other stuff too, not just myself!) so I begged my parents to buy me a new camera. I cannot afford a DSLR so this is just right. It is very compact, so I bring it everywhere, everyday. It’s touch screen too, so I always get this wow factor from people. HAHA. And there are many cool effects such as the fireworks effect, dimlight, portrait, macro, etc, However, the lens are somewhat being stubborn so I have to bring it back to the store :(
ETA: It’s broken now and I don’t have a camera :( *sob* I can still use it but the lens are not working the way they are supposed to work so pictures come out blurry almost all the time. Tsk.
For Music Players, no I haven’t had an Ipod. I can’t ask my parents to give me one because though music is a very big part of my life, having an ipod is still not necessary in a parent’s world ;) But yes, I am planning to have one in the near future. I got myself mp3 / mp4 players, but they didn’t work for me. One, because the battery life is not that good and two, it gets annoying after a while since I have a wide range of taste in music and I can’t organize it in cheap mp3 players :( So yeah, ipod, don’t worry, I will meet you soon. HAHA.
And last but not the least, my Laptop:
12-inch Compaq Presario CQ20
This is my favorite thing in the world! First and foremost, today is the first second birthday of Penny (my laptop)!! *cheers* I love how small it is (12 inches) that it fits almost all my normal school bags. I love how pretty and shiny it is too. I would have loved to have it G-masked but it’s too expensive, I don’t have money ;_; I love how I can do almost anything because of it– school-related stuff, watch my favorite movies and shows, fangirl, surf the net, etc. And this is a gift from my Mom so I treasure it very, very much :) ♥ This has become my diary and my best friend and I cannot imagine life without it. HAHAHA. Thanks Penny for all the good and bad times, it’s been a year now. So don’t give up on me alright? Your warranty ends today and I can’t afford to pay repair bills. Viruses and worms, go away. XD
ETA: My laptop is three years old now and still working fine :)
So there. I know I don’t have a lot, but I love what I have know. I also wish for a lot of things, but I am not in a rush. In time, I just know I will be able to get them using my own money :D Or charm :))
