It Started With A Kiss- episode 1

I re-watched It Started WIth a Kiss, and i fell in love with it for the second time. In fact i’m in love with it so much more! I watched it in our local channel first, dubbed. In fairness, the dubbers for the series are really good but I wanted to hear the real voices of the actors :) At first, Ariel Lin’s real voice shocked me, it’s high-pitched and quite disturbing. But I’m getting used to it. Hehe. Jirooooooo’s voice is ♥

so here are random thoughts about the episodes XD YAY. w/ some pics :) oh, and read the summary first because it’s hard to narrate dramas XD

Episode One
Ariel really looked like a high-school girl in this series! I love her hair (omg so pretty and shiny♥ btw, we have the same hairstyle before hehe!) and their school uniform. She looked like an Anime character :) as for Joe, I wasn’t that convinced that he’s an 18-year old guy. But, oh well. The other characters are okay too, I love Jiro Wang’s hair here! (IMO, much better than Hana Kimi Xiu Yi’s hair). Yu Shu is cute. Jiang Mama is adorable. A Cai’s mustache looked fake. and Seeing Jiang Papa makes me smile, I dunno why XD (sorry for some not-so-good screencaps. i can’t find dvds in good quality XD)

Anyway. as for the story. For those of you who watched Devil Beside You, the first scene will remind you of how Qi Yue accidentally gave Ah Meng her love letter. But well, that’s the only similarity.

The earthquake + Yuan house = O_O. LOL. Quite impossible for the house (only Xiang Qin’s house!) to collapse like that right? Hoho~ I feel so sad when Xiang Qin’s father went crazy and looked for the picture of her wife under the debris. Aww. Poor Yuan family. But it will get better soon I promise :) (look for Jiro’s biceps! *dies*)

By the way, I know most people were annoyed by Ah Jin’s character, especially in this episode. He’s quite annoying, always telling Xiang Qin that they will get married someday, have kids, blahblah. But, there’s this scene wherein he was asking everyone to donate some money because Xiang Qin’s house was destroyed. It was a sweet move, in my opinion. As for Xiang Qin, of course she was embarrassed. But Ah Jin’s just trying to help her. He himself doesn’t have that much money so what he did was quite impressive for me :)

Ah Jin: You’re the one who made her sad, that’s why she’s suffering!

Zhi Shu: I didn’t ask for the earthquake to come.
Ah Jin: I don’t care.. Just.. Just donate!

And I also love how he yelled at Zhi Shu and told him why he (ZS) didn’t even looked at Xiang Qin’s letter. Such a sweet guy. Bad thing not everyone sees it, especially Xiang Qin. She was way too busy dealing with Zhi Shu that she forgot there’s someone else who’s really in love with her.

Maybe Xiang Qin doesn’t like Ah Jin because he’s her male counterpart? LOL.

I wanted to kill Zhi Shu when he said “I hate women without brains!“UGH. Well, yeah, Xiang Qin’s from class F and he’s from class A, but so what? IMO, a person’s worth doesn’t merely depend on his/ her IQ. It’s a factor, yes. But it’s not everything.

I’m sorry I’m too lazy to narrate stuff. Oh but I I love how Zhi Shu smiled when Xiang Qin and Mr. Yuan arrived in their house. Eeeeeeeeek. Xiang Qin’s reaction when she found out she’s living with Zhi Shu is funny as well. :)

Mrs. Jiang is the coolest mom/ parent you’ll ever see! She rocks :) I swear. I’m sure you’ll LOVE her. Especially in the next episodes! We’re all tired of parents/ grandparents trying to separate the lead actors/actresses right? But she’s the EXACT opposite! You’ll see why.

..and she really does look like an older version of Megan Lai :)
